Miscellaneous – Elevation is approximately 4800 feet. In the summer, temperature averages 75-85 degrees with some much warmer days. Nights usually run from high 30’s to low 50’s. You might bring a light sheet or blanket if your horse is not used to cooler temperatures at night. For those that don’t ride, there are other things such as hiking, fishing; Kla-Mo-Ya casino in Chiloquin (approximately 25 miles); sightseeing. We are 45 minutes to Klamath Falls, 1 hour to Crater Lake, 2 hours to Medford, 6 hours to Bend, and 1 hour+ to Lakeview; and Reno, NV is approximately 5 hours, more. Sprague River is 5 miles away, and the Feed Bag Café serves breakfast and lunch approximately 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily; Saturday dinner - with reservations (make them a day or so ahead). Melita’s in Chiloquin – breakfast, lunch and dinner – 7 days a week (6 a.m. to 10 p.m.). There is a good Mexican restaurant on Hwy 97, a few miles south of Chiloquin on Hwy 97 south. Of course, lots of places in Klamath Falls.
